MY BACKGROUND

Since 2008, I have had the privilege of supporting my clients as they experience life's challenges, joys, adventures, and opportunities for growth.   My passion is helping people recover when something has interrupted or limited their growth - that could be trauma, loss, addiction, shame, relationships falling apart, or any number of events.

Having experienced my own recovery from trauma and relationship challenges, and having witnessed my loved ones experience recovery from addictions, I know first-hand the "daily struggle."  It is not easy and it can't be done alone, but I believe it is beautiful.  One of my favorite definitions of recovery is "recovering the person you are meant to be," and it is an honor to join people on that path.

I believe transitions call on us to shift, adapt, and grow, but this can be challenging if we are stuck in "old" patterns of thinking or behaving that no longer serve us.  To help with this, my work combines Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and EMDR to support people in embodying their potential and orienting towards growth.

Outside of the therapy room, I have a dedicated yoga practice (shout-out to the Yoga with Adriene community!) and am actively involved in music and community theatre.  I have been singing since I was 5 years old and music inspires me.  As such, I am fully committed to helping people find their authentic versions of movement, play, and community as vital aspects of integrated health.
